Our Woodman's Bothy (built on the chassis of an original 1930's woodman's bothy) sleeps 2 people on a standard size double bed. It has light and power and a log burner. Spacious toilet, shower and kitchen facilities are located in the adjacent farm building.
Location:
Exceptional views, easy parking, fire pit, farm animals, lots to see and do locally, rural location 2 miles from the A9. The bothy is in the perfect spot to enjoy exceptional views to the north and if you are happen to be there at the right time, sunsets to the west. It overlooks the local village of Dunning and usually has sheep or ponies in the adjacent field.

Dogs are welcome subject to prior notification; maximum 1 dog; £5.00/dog/stay; constant supervision please as we have a number of free range animals on the farm.
The Farm:
Pitmeadow is a working farm and can be quite busy during the day. Guests are encouraged to make themselves at home in the adjacent farm building. Farm staff may require access to equipment and livestock at certain times. Guests who enjoy farm life are welcome to help feed the animals with farm staff in the morning.

As a working farm we ask all of our guests to be responsible and careful at all times, children must be supervised at all times for their safety. Please note the importance of washing your hands after touching any of the animals or fences to prevent any infection or diseases that can be passed on from the animals. No access to fields with livestock is permitted without permission and supervision from farm staff.
Guests are not allowed in fields with livestock.

Water: Our water comes from a Private Spring Water Supply which is treated with filters and an ultra violet light system. If you have any questions or concerns about this before booking please get in touch with us.

Strathearn: We are located on the South side of Strathearn with exceptional open views to the North.Strathern lies to the West of Perth towards Stirling. With easy access to the A9, and yet tucked away in unspoilt countryside, guests are able to enjoy the best of both worlds!

They have a post office open from 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday.

By car, we are just 10 minutes from the A9, 20 minutes from Perth, 40 minutes from Stirling, 45 minutes from Dundee, 1 hour from St Andrews, and just over 1 hour from Edinburgh.
Highland Perthshire, including Aberfeldy, Crieff, Dunkeld and Pitlochry, offer excellent choices for days out. Travelling West, the Trossachs, including Callander and Loch Lomond, are also within reach.
Our location is ideal for exploring Central Scotland, and many popular visitor attractions are within easy reach for day trips.
